Ivy Tech Fort Wayne’s Diesel Technology program adds Peterbilt Training with new statewide partnership

Ivy Tech Community College Fort Wayne and Warsaw is excited to announce a recently added Peterbilt Training program to its Diesel Technology courses as part of a new statewide partnership.

The Peterbilt Training program provides partner schools with the latest professional training curriculum needed to become a highly skilled service technician within the company. It works with Peterbilt Dealers to find these entry-level service technicians who have gone through a Diesel Technology program. This will expand employment and internship opportunities to students after they graduate.

“Peterbilt is a great partner that will help advance the Diesel Technology programs throughout the Ivy Tech System,” says Nick Goodnight, Ph.D., assistant department chair of Automotive and Diesel Technology. “The innovative training that highlights the Peterbilt technologies helps train the student in real-world skills.  These skills they are developing will put them on the proper path to success once they graduate from the Ivy Tech Diesel Technology program. I want to thank PACCAR, Peterbilt, and Ron Crisp for helping us build Hoosiers for industry.”
