Ivy Tech Community College Fort Wayne’s Titans Baseball is in its fourth year as a National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II team. Ivy Tech Fort Wayne’s athletic program is completely funded by the philanthropic support of our community. No college funds are utilized to support the operations of the team. To support these fundraising efforts, Titans Baseball is hosting an Andy’s Knockout Chicken fundraiser to support the team on March 26 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the CVS Pharmacy on 6279 East State Blvd.
Contact Tracy Davis at tdavis457@ivytech.edu for presale tickets. Thanks to a generous sponsorship from Wayne Pipe & Supply, Inc., all proceeds support Titans Baseball.
The baseball program at Ivy Tech Fort Wayne has allowed student athletes the opportunity to compete at an intercollegiate level while also focusing on their academic studies at Indiana’s most affordable college, which makes the opportunity and experience more accessible for regional athletes. The program boasts higher than average retention rates for athletes vs. non-athletes. For the Fall 20 to Spring 21 terms, athletes retained at a rate of more than 20% higher than non-athletes. Not only do players persist and complete, they often transfer to NCAA DI, DII, and NAIA schools to continue their educational and athletic careers.
