Boggs Automotive accelerates Warsaw student success through gas card donation

Ivy Tech Community College Warsaw and Boggs Automotive have teamed up to give Warsaw students the drive to complete their classes! In February 2021, Boggs donated five $20 gas cards to Warsaw students with financial needs.

“These cards aren’t just for getting to or from campus,” said Tim Keyes, LRC Coordinator at Ivy Tech Warsaw. “Our students experience many financial difficulties that could prevent them from academically succeeding. If you can’t get to work or drop your kids off at school, those are still barriers to education. A huge thanks to Boggs Automotive for providing our students with these gift cards, which will directly impact student success.”

As of March 1, two cards have been gifted to students with financial need, including working mother and phlebotomy student Michelle Butts.

“As a working mom and part-time student who’s working toward a certification in phlebotomy while also taking classes for my bachelors of science in human services, this gas card will help me travel to and from classes,” said Michelle. “The Ivy Tech staff has been accommodating and personable, and I plan to use my education to ultimately work in community outreach, which is my passion.”
