Ivy Tech Community College Fort Wayne has selected Aja Michael-Keller as its new Executive Director of Marketing and Communications. She assumed her role on Oct. 14. Michael-Keller will serve as chief advisor to Chancellor Jerrilee K. Mosier, Ed.D. and provide leadership, oversight and direction to all public relations and marketing and communications activities for Ivy Tech Fort Wayne and Warsaw and the 11 counties of northeast Indiana.

“I’m excited to be back at the Fort Wayne campus and work closely with campus leaders to serve our students and the northeast Indiana community,” says Aja Michael-Keller. “I look forward to sharing Ivy Tech’s story with our stakeholders and impacting current and future students. Ivy Tech has opened countless doors for me since I started as a student, and it is a privilege to be able to pay that back.”

Michael-Keller will also serve as liaison between Ivy Tech Fort Wayne and central Ivy Tech Marketing staff for coordinated projects, reporting, procedure development and campaign structure and development.

“I am very pleased to have Aja as a member of the leadership team at Ivy Tech Fort Wayne,” says Chancellor Jerrilee Mosier. “Her experience within the Ivy Tech system, and more specifically the Fort Wayne Campus, will bring invaluable knowledge, which will help the Ivy Tech Fort Wayne/Warsaw campus expand awareness of our programs and services to our broader communities.”

Michael-Keller was promoted to her new position from that of Executive Director of Campus Marketing in the central Ivy Tech Marketing office. Previously, she worked in the Ivy Tech Fort Wayne Marketing and Communications office and held the titles of Director of Marketing and Events, Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications, and Marketing and Communications Intern. She has been with the college since 2011. Before she began at Ivy Tech Fort Wayne, Michael-Keller worked for the YWCA of Northeast Indiana as the Racial Justice and Education Coordinator and Education and Outreach Advocate.

She earned a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Indiana Tech in 2016, a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education in 2006 from Manchester University and an associate degree in Hospitality Administration from Ivy Tech Fort Wayne in 2011.
