2,000+ DeKalb County students visiting Ivy Tech Fort Wayne at “Walk Into My Future” event on Friday

Ivy Tech Community College Fort Wayne will host nearly 2,200 DeKalb county children in grades Kindergarten to 3 during the “Walk Into My Future” event on Sept. 20, which is part of the DeKalb County Promise initiative. DeKalb students will learn about colleges and careers by interacting with members of the Ivy Tech community as well as 18 career hosts from DeKalb county with engaging educational activities. Students will visit career stations hosted by Ivy Tech students and faculty in the following areas:

  • Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering
  • Arts, Sciences and Education
  • Business, Logistics, and Supply Chain
  • Career Services
  • Health Sciences
  • Information Technology
  • Nursing
  • Public Affairs and Social Services
  • Student Success
