Eight Lake City Bank employees graduated from Ivy Tech Community College Warsaw on May 10 with Business Administration associate degrees through the Achieve Your Degree Partner (AYD) Program. This is Lake City Bank’s first AYD graduating class.

With Achieve Your Degree, Ivy Tech Fort Wayne and Warsaw representatives will work directly with Lake City Bank to provide employer-deferred tuition billing as long as individuals meet the guidelines of the company’s tuition assistance program. Lake City Bank employees participating in AYD will have access to all Ivy Tech courses, with the opportunity to earn a credential with reimbursement conditions developed and implemented by Lake City Bank. Employees have the opportunity to take advantage of higher education at Ivy Tech with little or no upfront cost to the student. It also assists the company in skilling up their workforce.

“It has been a true pleasure to serve these amazing women and their goals to further their education. They have worked very hard to succeed,” says Tara Kuhmichel, workforce alignment and AYD coordinator. “They were able to take classes together and to support one another in each other’s goals. We are very proud to have been a part of their journey”
