Area families invited to Touch-a-Truck event at Ivy Tech Fort Wayne on April 27

Ivy Tech Community College Fort Wayne’s Ivy Association for the Education of Young Children (IvyAEYC), Early Childhood Education Program, and Campus Activities Board along with the North Eastern Region Indiana Association for the Education of Young Children are hosting the ninth annual Touch-A-Truck event in April. This event is free and open to the public.

Children will be able to explore nearly 50 vehicles, which will include a SWAT vehicle, bread truck, wrecker, school bus, limo, semi truck, and more. There will also be free snacks and additional activities, including “paint the plow,” tricycle rides, and storytelling.

Touch-a-Truck will take place rain or shine with dedicated volunteers and community members sharing their time. Attendees should be aware that the event may feature loud truck engines and horns, so everyone is encouraged to bring ear protection.
