Tara Kuhmichel was recently selected as Workforce Alignment/Achieve Your Degree Coordinator at Ivy Tech Community College Warsaw. In this role, Kuhmichel will work with college leadership to build new and varied community outreach partnerships and to expand availability of the College’s instructional and student support services to the College’s broader community. She will also work in conjunction with Workforce Alignment, Enrollment Services, and Resource Development.
“I look forward to working with business and industry to help offer needed workforce training for individuals who want to grow their credentials in Kosciusko County,” says Kuhmichel. “I also hope to provide the tools to support their teams in advancing their degrees by cultivating and developing talent within organizations.”
Kuhmichel also hopes to provide opportunities for Kosciusko employees to further their education without financial barriers and give employers a chance to strengthen their workforce and decrease employee turnover in Kosciusko and surrounding areas.
Previously, Kuhmichel worked more than 10 years with children and families in early childhood education. She worked most recently at Bloom! as a mentor, where she helped directors and teachers understand child developmental principles, research children’s needs, and plan for their developmental needs. She was also Director of the Armstrong Early Learning Center in Columbia City.
