WHAT:
Ivy Tech Community College’s Fort Wayne Campus is hosting the qualifying round for the Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition. Participating schools include Ivy Tech, Indiana Tech, Indiana University Southeast, and Purdue University.
To compete, participating teams will work on a network from a fictional business complete with email, websites, data files, and users. Teams will correct problems on their network, perform typical business tasks, and defend their networks from a red team that will generate live, hostile activity continuously. Points will be based on how well the students maintain and defend their services.
The competition is hosted by the National Center for Systems Security and Information Assurance, which is a National Science Foundation Advanced Technological Education National Resource Center. Learn more at cssia.org.
