WHAT:
Next week is Service Week at Ivy Tech Community College. For the week, which is recognized at Ivy Techs state-wide, the Fort Wayne Campus is making pet beds and toys for dogs and cats out of unused Student Life shirts and materials for the Allen County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. The College is also collecting items from the society’s wish list, including food, litter, medicine, and office supplies.
Projects can be completed in class, and Student Life will provide kits to make the pets’ toys. There will also be donation bins set up.

3 to 5 p.m. Feb. 27, Public Safety Academy: Ivy Tech South Campus (7602 Patriot Crossing, Fort Wayne) commons
Student Life will host a pop-up service day to make animal toys.
11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 28, Student Life Center (3701 Dean Drive, Fort Wayne) commons
Phi Theta Kappa, Ivy Tech’s honors society, will host a service party with food, music, giveaways, and pet adoption information. Stop by after 3 p.m. to visit with adoptable puppies.
3 to 5 p.m. March 1, Coliseum Campus (3800 N. Anthony Blvd., Fort Wayne) Crescent Commons
