WHAT:
Ivy Tech Community College’s Fort Wayne Campus will host its 21st annual European Competition on Friday. Eight winning Hospitality Administration students will have the opportunity to travel to France this spring to study the culinary arts.
Culinary students will be asked to prepare food including an entrée with a starch, vegetable, and dessert. Baking students will be asked to prepare food including plated chocolate and fruit desserts, yeast bread and rolls, and a decorated cake based on a hypothetical order.
Chef judges will include Hospitality Administration assistant professor Meshele Wyneken, adjunct instructor Mike Bentz, and adjunct instructor Joseph Allison for the culinary competition; and Hospitality Administration assistant professor Cheryl Hitzemann, adjunct instructor Renee Sigmon, and adjunct instructor Amanda Parkinson for the baking competition.
