To thank local veterans, Ivy Tech Community College’s Fort Wayne Campus is hosting Veteran’s Appreciation Night.
This open house will welcome prospective students and provide information about the educational benefits offered by the Veterans Affairs office at Ivy Tech. Veterans will also be able to discuss the military benefits available at the College.
During Veteran’s Appreciation Night, attendees will be able to complete all their steps to enroll for the spring semester at Ivy Tech, which begins Jan. 16. To apply for financial aid, attendees should bring their 2015 taxes; and to receive assessment, they should bring their high school or previous college transcripts. They should also bring their military transcripts to learn about prior learning assessment opportunities, where the College will evaluate their credentials to see if attendees qualify for additional credit; and certification crosswalk opportunities, where prior certifications may qualify for college credit.
