College debuts Classical French Cuisines dinners this fall

Beginning this fall, Ivy Tech Community College’s Fort Wayne Campus will offer Classical French Cuisines dinners. Hospitality administration students in the Classical Cuisines class will create the French menus and cook the meals. Most will be a prix fixe menu, which means a fixed menu, though the schedule includes two buffets and one à la carte.

The first dinner, Sept. 7, will be a buffet that includes broccoli a la polonaise (broccoli with bread crumbs and Parmesan), riz au curry (curry rice), tournedos Rossini (a French steak dish), and soufflé Hilda (chocolate soufflé).

Dinners are at 5 and 7:30 p.m. most Thursday nights through Dec. 14 in the Hospitality Room on Coliseum Campus, 3800 N. Anthony Blvd. in Fort Wayne. The Hospitality Room faces Coliseum Boulevard; guests should park in the north lot, facing Coliseum, and enter through door 24.

To view the semester’s complete schedule and to purchase tickets, which run $20 each, visit IvyTech.edu/northeast/dinners. Wine will also be available for an additional charge.
