Ivy Tech Northeast to host I-Career Public Services Day at Public Safety Academy

WHAT:
I-Career Days are themed career-exploration events at Ivy Tech Community College Northeast, where regional high school students connect with the College though building tours, program-specific interactive activities and conversations with select program faculty. I-Career Days are scheduled throughout the academic year and allow students to make connections, build relationships and gain career information to make informed decisions regarding their future. This event’s audience focus is on high school students who are interested in learning more about public service professions. Area adults are encouraged to participate in this event as well. This I-Career Day will focus on highlighting the College’s Criminal Justice, Fire Science, Paramedic Science and Paralegal Studies programs. More than 20 different public service agencies are expected to participate, including Allen County Community Corrections; Allen County Sheriff’s Department; Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives; Fort Wayne Police Department; Gary (Ind.) Police Department; Indiana Air National Guard; Indiana Department of Corrections; Indiana State Police; Indianapolis Metropolitan Police; Michigan State Police; Toledo (Ohio) Police Department and U.S. Border Patrol.
