Aly Jafferani, a relationship manager with the Corporate and Investment Banking Group at NIB Bank in Pakistan, will be on campus at Ivy Tech Community College Northeast from April 17 to 23.

He is a part of the Humphrey Fellowship Program, which invites “mid-career professionals from Africa, Asia, Central and South America, and Central and Eastern Europe to gain expertise in their fields.” It also allows “U.S. citizens in the business, government, and academic communities to profit from the knowledge and perspectives of professional counterparts in other countries and to establish lasting ties with them.”
While visiting Ivy Tech Northeast, Jafferani hopes to detail his business model to students and employees for scrutiny and feedback—his model uses technology and engineering methods to expand financial inclusion in developing countries.
“He’s interested in learning about any similar or complementary initiatives at Ivy Tech while building a collegial relationship that would enable ongoing shared technologies and ideas,” says Sarah Rodriguez, the College’s director of International Programs.
