Area high school students invited to May 1 Go Ivy Day college visit

Area high school students are invited to Go Ivy Day at Ivy Tech Community College Northeast in Fort Wayne. The half-day event, which begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 1 p.m. May 1 in the Student Life Center on North Campus (3701 Dean Drive), allows and encourages prospective students to explore Ivy Tech Northeast’s 40-plus degree and certificate programs.

Students will have the opportunity to explore campus; meet with faculty members from their programs of interest; connect with current Ivy Tech students and other prospective students; learn about admissions and enrollment requirements, as well as transfer opportunities; get the facts about financial aid; and more.

“Go Ivy Day always provides high school students the opportunity to see campus and all that Ivy Tech Northeast has to offer educationally,” says Jennifer Spurlock, assistant director of Admissions. “It gives them a chance to see how Ivy Tech can help them achieve their goal in earning a college education for a fraction of the cost.”

Complimentary lunch will be provided for prospective students and their guests. Prospective students will also receive a free T-shirt.

Those interested in attending the four-hour event can pre-register for free online at IvyTech.edu/northeast/goivyday or directly at this registration link.
