I want to hear about your pet–and your favorite recipes!

Green Light hopes to start some occasional features on the blog, and I need your help to kick these series off.

My Pet & Me

I can't take credit for this sweet pooch. Spencer, a cocker spaniel, belongs to my in-laws. Here, he's begging for potato chips.

Do you have a Golden Doodle? An aquarium of colorful fish? Four cats–but only four, because that fifth one would turn you into a Certified Cat Lady?

I want to know about them! Email me at jgarver2@ivytech.edu with a photo of you and your pet, along with your pet’s name and any breed information. Be sure to include your full name, city of residence, and title (for Ivy Tech Northeast employees) or major (for Ivy Tech Northeast students or alum). I may be in touch for more to learn more about your fur baby.

Dig In

I love food. Eating is the best, and I want to hear all about your favorite recipes.

Ivy Tech Northeast employees and students are invited to send in their favorite recipe. It can be anything from a weeknight staple to those cookies you make that gets your entire family drooling. Send in something fancy, something simple–anything, so long as it’s tasty.

Email me at jgarver2@ivytech.edu with your recipe AND a photo–it can be ingredients, a finished dish, or a shot of you mid recipe prep. If you don’t have anything like that, I’ll settle for a selfie. Be sure to include your full name, city of residence, and title (for employees) or major (for students). I may be in touch for more to learn more about how this recipe came to be.

  1. Oh my goodness! Spencer just brought tears to my eyes and they won’t stop! Last summer in August we had to put Bentley to sleep and we put him in a container and buried him in our back yard with a little shrine. He was the most lovable Cocker Spaniel who looks exactly like Spencer.
