Ivy Tech Northeast to celebrate Month of the Young Child

Ivy Tech Community College Northeast is celebrating the Month of the Young Child this April, which is in conjunction with the National Association for the Education of Young Children’s Week of the Young Child. This honors early childhood teachers “who are at the heart of quality early learning.” Read more at the association’s website, at naeyc.org/woyc.

Ivy Tech Northeast is sponsoring some related events:

  • Children’s Art Exhibit: Selfies All Around the City. Children will create “selfies” to be displayed from April 18 to 28 at Ivy Tech Northeast’s Coliseum (3800 N. Anthony Blvd.) and North (3701 Dean Drive) campuses. To be included in the exhibit, selfies should be submitted by April 14 to the Student Life Center (3701 Dean Drive), room SL160. To learn more, contact Cindy Kumfer at ckumfer@ivytech.edu or Mary Musson at mmusson@ivytech.edu or 480-4154.
  • Touch-a-Truck: Nearly 50 vehicles will be parked in the east parking lot from 10 a.m. to noon April 26 on Ivy Tech Northeast’s Coliseum Campus (3800 N. Anthony Blvd.). The event encourages children to explore the vehicles, which will include police cars, fire trucks, limos, tow trucks, and more.
