Community partners kick off 10th annual Bus Stuff to collect food

Several community organizations kicked off the 10th annual Bus Stuff today to collect canned and packaged food for Community Harvest Food Bank. Bus Stuff is a partnership with Ivy Tech Community College Northeast, Community Harvest Food Bank, Citilink, Komets, and Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne.

All collected food will be donated to Community Harvest Food Bank. Citilink’s goal is to collect enough food to fill a campusLink bus.

Collection points are at the following locations:

  • Ivy Tech Northeast information desks (Coliseum Campus, 3800 N. Anthony Blvd.; Student Life Center, 3701 Dean Drive; and Public Safety Academy: Ivy Tech South Campus, 7602 Patriot Crossing)
  • Any Citilink bus
  • Community Harvest Food Bank
  • Kettler and Walb information desks and student housing at IPFW
  • The following Komets games: 7 p.m. April 2, 7:30 p.m. April 5, and 5 p.m. April 6. Those who donate at a Komets game will receive $2 off their game tickets.

Barrels will be set up from March 31 to April 6, and Bus Stuff has collected more than 2,000 pounds of food each year for the previous nine years.
