Ivy Tech Community College Northeast will host the Fort Wayne Association for the Education of Young Children’s annual education conference from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Public Safety Academy: Ivy Tech South Campus, 7602 Patriot Crossing.
The event is geared toward early childhood educators and families regarding the education of those up to 8 years old and will include a continental breakfast and more than 50 workshops. Vendors will also be present with early childhood materials and community resources.
National speaker Brett Eastburn will speak at the event. Eastburn was born without arms and legs and gives motivational speeches about overcoming obstacles. Registration begins at 7:15 a.m. and is $25 for association members and $30 for nonmembers.
