Ivy Tech Community College−Northeast is celebrating Martin Luther King, Jr. Day with “Umoja” (meaning “unity”), an event featuring Fort Wayne native and Fox News reporter Tacoma Perry. The celebration, hosted by Ivy Tech Diversity Affairs and the Multicultural Student Organization, will be at 6 p.m. Jan. 24 in the Student Life Center gymnasium (SL102) on Ivy Tech’s North Campus (4900 St. Joe Road.)
The event will feature Perry as the keynote speaker.Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Chris Cathcart will be in attendance. The Fort Wayne MLK Club and other local groups will perform musical numbers and poetry. A reception will follow the program.
