Three Ivy Tech Community College−Northeast Respiratory Care students were awarded
scholarships by the Indiana Society for Respiratory Care (ISRC). The three students were Dottie Bingham, Amie Turney and Daniel Gernhardt.
Bingham and Turney were awarded ISRC Student Literary Scholarships, worth $750 each.Gernhardt was awarded the Patrick E. Doyle Memorial Scholarship, worth $1,000.
To be eligible for the scholarships, students had to maintain a 3.0 GPA and submit an orginal research paper, which was judged by physicians and respiratory therapists. Out of fifty submissions total, Ivy Tech−Northeast students were awarded three of the four available scholarships.
Ivy Tech’s Respiratory Care program offers an Associate of Science degree. The program prepares graduates to be professionals in the healthcare industry.
