Ivy Tech Community College–Northeast in Fort Wayne, Ind., has awarded the Chancellor’s and Choice Scholarships for the 2010–11 academic school year.

Molly Cripe of West Noble High School and Sage Knopp of Central Noble High School were selected to receive the College’s prestigious Chancellor’s Scholarship. Each student will receive $6,000 ($3,000 per academic year) toward college tuition and fees should they choose Ivy Tech. Cripe and Knopp were chosen by the scholarship committee based upon high academic achievement, community or school involvement, and intention to earn an associate degree at Ivy Tech–Northeast. By meeting academic standards at Ivy Tech, both students will be able to renew the scholarship monies for a second year.

Paul Pierce of Hicksville High School (OH); Jacienda Rost and Kathleen Ogletree of Lakeland High School; Kristina Parks of East Noble High School; Kayla Haag of Woodlan High School; Trista Lairson of South Adams High School; Miguel Gonzalez of South Side High School; Samuel Gillespie of Northrop High School; Nicole Johnson of Norwell High School; Aaron McGinnis of Central Noble High School; Shelby Neuenschwander of Bluffton High School; Shaquile Coonce of Carroll High School; Angela Rodriguez of R. Nelson Snider High School; Aaron Miller of DeKalb High School, and Katlyn Stein, homeschool, have each been selected to receive the College’s Choice Scholarship. Each student will receive will receive $1,000 toward college tuition and fees should they choose Ivy Tech. Recipients were chosen by the scholarship committee based upon academic achievement, community or high school involvement, and a personal written statement.
