Ivy Tech Community College Fort Wayne is hosting a Coffee & Donuts Open House for local employers to learn more about skilling-up their workforce through the College on Mar. 31 from 7 to 9 a.m. at the Steel Dynamics, Inc. Keith E. Busse Technology Center.
At the event, guests can enjoy coffee and donuts while learning more about the opportunities available for their employees. Several initiatives will be discussed including:
- Ivy Tech’s Business and Industry Leadership Team (BILT): Become a BILT subject matter expert to collaborate on developing, cutting-edge programs in Industrial Technology and Advanced Automation and Robotics Technology.
- Achieve Your Degree (AYD): A tuition reimbursement partnership with employers that helps employees earn an Ivy Tech credential at little to no upfront cost.
- Apprenticeship Programs: Helps businesses grow their talent by offering hands-on, on-the-job training, classroom instruction, and industry-recognized credentials.
- Flexible Skills Training: Employees can earn certifications in fields like information technology, healthcare, leadership, and manufacturing.
- Talent Connection Opportunities: Helps company build a strong talent pipeline by connecting with top students and alumni through internships, job shadowing, and the HireIvy network.
Statewide, the College partners with more than 2,500 local employers and has the largest apprentice enrollment in the United States. Ivy Tech offers hands-on, flexible courses designed to accommodate busy schedules, ensuring students gain the skills they need to succeed in today’s job market.
