BFGoodrich recruiters will be on Ivy Tech Community College Fort Wayne’s campus for information sessions at 10:30 a.m. on Feb. 18 and noon on Feb. 19 for those interested in chance to receive a free education and on-the-job training through the Technical Scholar Program.
What is the Technical Scholar Program?
It provides potential and current Ivy Tech Fort Wayne students an opportunity to develop paid, hands-on work experiences while earning their A.A.S. in Industrial Electrical or Mechanical Technology. Accepted students will receive scholarships to cover the cost of tuition, course fees, and books, while working part-time at the BFGoodrich manufacturing facility in Woodburn, Ind.
Graduates of the program are eligible for full-time, entry-level employment at BFGoodrich with salary projections of $55,000 or more annually.
To be considered, applicants must:
- Be interested in pursuing an A.A.S. in Industrial Electrical or Mechanical program
- Have and maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA
- Be able to work 20 hours per week
- Demonstrate strong math, science, reading, and comprehension skills
- Pass a pre-employment test
