Ivy Tech Community College Fort Wayne is partnering with the Indiana Department of Health to offer a walk-in vaccination clinic that’s open to the community. It’s happening Oct. 8 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at its Coliseum Campus in Café Verde (3800 N Anthony Blvd).
What’s offered:
- Free flu shots
- Updated COVID-19 vaccines
Insurance cards will be accepted, but there will be free flu shots available. No appointment is needed, but a state issued ID will be required. It is important to note, those under 18 will need to have parental consent, which can be completed while on-site.
Why consider the flu shot?
Annual influenza vaccines can prevent many illnesses caused by influenza. It’s specifically recommended for those at risk for developing serious complications due to influenza infection, such as those 65 and older and people with chronic health conditions or a weakened immune system.
Students, employees, and the community are all invited to take advantage of this opportunity.
