Ivy Tech Community College Fort Wayne is holding a Skilled Trades Career Exploration Fair on Friday, Oct. 4 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is geared towards high schoolers, but current students and the community are welcome to explore career and education opportunities.

Attendees will be connected with Ivy Tech instructors and local businesses and are encouraged to travel around the Steel Dynamics Inc. Keith E. Busse Technology Center to watch demonstrations from programs like construction technology, welding, HVAC, engineering, machine tool technology, and more. At the career fair, more than two dozen employers will meet with high school students, Ivy Tech students and alumni, and the community.

Employers in attendance will include: Aegis Sales and Engineering Inc., Antibus Scales & Systems, Inc., Avancez, C & A Tool, Don Ayres Honda & Acura, Flow-Tech Plumbing and Heating, Fort Wayne Metals, Gerber Collision, I-Car, Incipio Devices, Kelley Automotive Group, Micropulse, Northeast Indiana FAME, NUCOR, OmniSource LLC, Pena’s Mechanical Contractors, Inc., Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 166, Pro Resources Staffing Services, Ryder Systems, Inc., Steel Dynamics, Inc., Stoops Freightliner, TI Fluid Systems, Trelleborg Sealing Solutions, US Army Fort Wayne North, and Walmart Manufacturing.
