Ivy Tech Community College Fort Wayne’s Healthy Essence Massage Clinic opened to the public on Monday, Feb. 12 with its spring hours. The clinic is run by Massage Therapy students and provides hour-long, full-body relaxation massages available by appointment.

“It’s a very calming atmosphere,” says Massage Therapy student Brittany Moreno, who is participating in the clinic this semester. “People come in with genuine pain, and it’s so rewarding that we get to be able to help alleviate that.”

Massages are $30 for the community and $25 for Ivy Tech employees and students, military personnel, and those 55 and older. The clinic accepts payment in cash and credit card. Tips are not accepted, but clients can donate to a charity chosen by the students.
