Ivy Tech Community College−Northeast is hosting the regional Phi Theta Kappa Fall Honors Conference 2012. The conference, entitled Food for Thought:The Culture of Competition will be at the Holiday Inn Fort Wayne Oct. 5 and at Ivy Tech Oct. 6 in the Student Life Center on North Campus (4900 St. Joe Road.)

An expected 80 members of Phi Theta Kappa from across the state are to attend the conference. There are approximately 150 current Ivy Tech−Northeast students in the honor society. Chancellor Jerrilee K. Mosier won Phi Theta Kappa’s Most Outstanding College Administrator Award in 2011.

The purpose of Phi Theta Kappa shall be to recognize and encourage scholarship among two-year college students. To achieve this purpose, Phi Theta Kappa shall provide opportunity for the development of leadership and service, for an intellectual climate for exchange of ideas and ideals, for lively fellowship for scholars, and for stimulation of interest in continuing academic excellence.
