The National Council for Marketing and Public Relations recognized Ivy Tech Community College−Northeast with two Medallion Awards at this fall’s District 3 Conference in Detroit. The college was awarded a Silver and Bronze Medallion for its efforts in the last academic year.

In the Specialty Advertising category, Ivy Tech was honored with a Silver Medallion of Achievement for its entry in this year’s Three Rivers Festival Parade, which included the debut of a helium inflated balloon with the Ivy Tech logo and photos of graduates. It also included a special promotional fan/banner/clapper that was distributed to 2,000 parade attendees. Entries were judged on design, creative effort and uniqueness.

In the Print Advertising (Single Ad) category, Ivy Tech was honored with a Bronze Medallion of Merit for its advertisement that appeared in Fort Wayne Newspapers’ high school football preview sections.

“We are pleased to have a well-rounded, cohesive and creative marketing staff in Fort Wayne,” said Andrew Welch, director of marketing and communications for Ivy Tech. “In the end, our goal is to promote Ivy Tech as a primary, affordable and beneficial option for higher education, as well as a visible contributor to the northeast Indiana community.”
