Car enthusiasts from around the region and country will again descend upon Ivy Tech Community College-Northeast for the 30th Annual Old Fort Mustangers’ Club Mustang and Ford Show on Saturday, July 21, 2012, at Ivy Tech’s Coliseum Campus (3800 N. Anthony Blvd.). Participants come from Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, and Kentucky, as well as Louisiana, Tennessee, and Washington; and the public is welcome to attend.

The show is open to any Ford powered vehicle, so a wide variety of vehicles spanning many model years will be on display. There will be Ford Mustangs from the year 1964½ to the present. The annual show has taken place at Ivy Tech since 1989.

Registration for show entrants will be from 8 to 11 a.m. The awards ceremony will begin at 3 p.m. Admission to view the show is $2, with children under 10 being admitted free. Proceeds support Ivy Tech Community College Scholarships.

Ivy Tech Community College students have benefited from this community event. Since the beginning, the club has used proceeds from the event to fund scholarships to students in the Ivy Tech Automotive Technology program. More recently, the Ivy Tech Culinary Arts program has been involved by selling refreshments as a fundraiser for the Department of Hospitality Administration’s annual study program in Europe. Last year, that portion of the event raised more than $500 toward the students’ trip to France.
