Ivy Tech Community College–Northeast is inviting the community to play a

part in one of its largest student scholarship fundraisers, Thunder Run, on September 17 at Hoosier Park Racing and Casino in Anderson, Ind. Last year’s event raised more than $10,000 statewide for student scholarships and included Ivy Tech supporters from across the state.

“Thunder Run is exciting in that it connects the college with the larger community and gives everyone a chance to celebrate Ivy Tech while contributing to the success of its students,” said Andrea Robinson Hinsey, dean of Ivy Tech–Northeast’s School of Business.

All are invited to this exciting day of horse racing, dining, and casino play.  For a $10 contribution to the Ivy Tech Foundation, guests will receive a free trackside picnic and a $10 casino voucher. Participants must be 21 or older to enter the casino. Check-in begins at 10:30 a.m. followed by the trackside picnic from

11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. From there, we invite you to enjoy the rest of your day at the track and casino.

This year’s festivities are sponsored by Bad Dad, and all donations will directly benefit the Ivy Tech Foundation.
