Aja Michael has been named Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications at Ivy Tech Community College–Northeast. In this role, Michael will plan marketing activities and events, produce publications and advertising, and establish and maintain media contacts. Her goal is to contribute to the overall success of regional and statewide marketing campaigns while implementing forward-looking initiatives toward our mission of changing lives. Michael reports to Director of Marketing and Communications Andrew Welch. She was previously an education advocate at the YWCA-Northeast Indiana. Michael has an Associate of Applied Science in Hospitality Administration from Ivy Tech-Northeast (2011) and a Bachelor of Arts from Manchester College (2006).
Sandra Fouty has been named Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications at Ivy Tech Community College–Northeast. In this role, Fouty will maintain and produce Web content, execute electronic communication, provide design assistance, and support media/community relations. Her goal is to become an integral part of the Marketing and Communications office, with focus on the Web and electronic needs of students, faculty, and staff. Fouty reports to Director of Marketing and Communications Andrew Welch. She was previously a graphic designer with IPFW’s University Relations and Communications office. Fouty has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2-Dimensional Studies/Graphic Design from Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, Ohio (1993).
Tim Tappan has been named Director of Academic Resources at Ivy Tech Community College–Northeast. In this role, Tappan will collaborate with academic departments to provide service and support to adjunct faculty and supervise the Center for Academic Excellence and Disability Services. His goal is to create a structure that will better integrate adjunct faculty into the ivy tech learning community. Tappan reports to Assistant Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs Candy Schladenhauffen. He was previously the director of Continuing Education at the International Business College. Tappan has a Bachelor of Arts in English and Journalism (double major) from Indiana University (1991).
