Ivy Tech Community College–Northeast is hosting a free recycling event in conjunction with the Disposal Alternatives Organization on Wednesday, April 27 at the college’s Coliseum Campus (3800 N. Anthony Blvd.) and North Campus (4900 St. Joe Road) from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. (or until trucks are full). The collection was organized by Ivy Tech’s Green Team in an effort to offer the community an additional recycling day and to demonstrate alternatives to disposing into landfills. This recycling initiative features information on Single Stream Recycling.

Individuals will simply need to drive up to the recycling truck, and workers will unload items. Acceptable items include computers, CRT monitors, appliances, air conditioners, cardboard, batteries, oil, A/V equipment, medical equipment, wiring and cables, office machines, cell phones, clothes, metals, glass, lawn tools, plastics, carpet, bicycles, Styrofoam, mattresses ($5), and televisions ($5).
