Lisa Smith has been named Project Consultant/Corporate Trainer for Workforce and Economic Development at Ivy Tech Community College–Northeast. In the role, Smith will be working with companies to set up and develop training opportunities for the organizations and their employees. She will be offering class and training opportunities that she will facilitate and teach her Professional Development topics to businesses and community organizations in the community. Smith reports to Director of Workforce and Economic Development Patrick Buesching. She was previously the Business Services Representative for ResCare Workforce Services for a little over three years and earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a minor in Social Work from Olivet Nazarene University (1992).
Stephanie Hilton has been named Corporate Engagement Coordinator at the college. In the role, Hilton will be responsible for the coordination of the Apprenticeship Program, which includes enrolling and advising the apprentice students. Hilton reports to Director of Workforce and Economic Development Patrick Buesching. She was previously the registrar at ITT Technical Institute and assistant director of Admissions for University of Saint Francis. Hilton earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration/Management from Trine University (2001).
Wendi Anspach has been named Program Chair of Therapeutic Massage at Ivy Tech Community College–Northeast. In the role, Anspach will manage all aspects of the Therapeutic Massage Program. She will provide a quality education with accredited instructors and insure students complete the program with the confidence to become state certified. Anspach reports to Dean of the School of Health Sciences Tova Wiegand-Green. She was previously at Terex as the Human Resources Manager for five years. Anspach earned a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University and an advanced certification in Therapeutic Massage from the Center for Vital Living. Her other certifications include a PHR, Reiki, and Myofascial Release.
Sheena Nolin has been named Aviation Instructor at the college. In the role, she will teach aviation courses at the Smith Field location. She will assist students with their goals of success in the program and finding employment in the industry. Nolin reports to Program Chair Bill Terhune. She was previously an adjunct faculty member at Ivy Tech for four years. Nolin earned a Bachelor of Science in Applied Management from Franklin University (2009).
Brian T. O’Hara has been named an Instructor at Ivy Tech Community College–Northeast. In the role, O’Hara will be teaching network and network security courses in the Department of Computer Information Technology. O’Hara reports to Department Chair Joan Heise. O’Hara earned a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University (1980) and a master’s degree from the University of North Dakota (1986).
Angie Evans has been named Assistant Professor in the School of Business at Ivy Tech Community College–Northeast. In the role, Evans will be teaching various courses and will advise students in the School of Business and Office Administration program. Evans reports to Program Chair Michelle Hagan-Short. She was previously adjunct faculty (eight years) and assistant director of Student Support/Academic Advisor (three years). Evans earned an Associate of Applied Science in Accounting from Ivy Tech Community College (2000), a bachelor’s degree in Management from Trine University (2001), and a master’s degree in Adult and Community Education from Ball State University (2007).
Ryan Voorhees has been named Instructor in the Department of Construction Technology at the college. In the role, Voorhees will teach, develop curriculum, and support the vision of the department chair. Voorhees reports to Department Chair James Brunson. Voorhees was previously a technical draftsman at FBi Buildings, Inc. for seven years. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Building Construction Management from Purdue University (2004).
