Ivy Tech Community College-Northeast recently moved and expanded the Workforce Certification and Assessment Center.  The center moved from a 2100 sq. ft. space on the college’s Coliseum Campus to a newly refurbished 4000 sq. ft. space on the ground floor of Harshman Hall on the North Campus. The new location allows for growth of assessment and certification services to accommodate the student population growth the college is experiencing.

The move has placed the Workforce Certification and Assessment Center in close proximity to the Admissions and Student Support and Advising offices. This new location was a much needed improvement for students as there is now a natural flow between admissions, assessment, and advising. “We simply had to expand and improve our certification and assessment facilities to provide the quality and quantity of certification testing that our students and the public expect from us now and with the anticipated growth in the future, “ stated Mike Hathaway, Director of Workforce Certification and Assessment. “We are also able to provide assessment services required to keep up with our rate of student growth.”

The Workforce Certification and Assessment Center provides assessment testing such as COMPASS, CAAP, TEAS, CLEP, GED, among others as well as certification testing services such as Certiport, VUE, ACT, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, AWS, and more. For more information on the center, you may contact Mike Hathaway at 480-4185 or mhathawa@ivytech.edu.
