Senator Lugar’s Veteran Career Transition Fair has announced the following list of employers, colleges, universities, and community organizations that will be in attendance to provide employment, training, and educational information to veterans. The office of Richard Lugar (R), Ivy Tech Community College–Northeast, Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW), and Military Family Research Institute (MFRI) encourage veterans and family of veterans to attend.

The three-day event will take place at Ivy Tech Community College–Northeast’s Coliseum Campus (3800 N. Anthony Blvd., Fort Wayne, IN) and begins Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 15 and 16, with seminars offering assistance on job searching techniques, résumé writing, and interviewing skills. Wednesday, Nov. 17, from 3 to 6 p.m., employers, educational institutions, and service organizations will be available.

Members of the Ivy Tech–Northeast and IPFW Student Veteran Organizations will be available to assist with concerns veterans may have with their GI Bill benefits, and seminars will be conducted by both Ivy Tech–Northeast and IPFW’s Career Services offices. About Senator Lugar

Senator Richard Lugar (R) is an unwavering advocate of U.S. leadership in the world, strong national security, free-trade and economic growth. This fifth generation Hoosier is the U.S. Senate’s most senior Republican and longest serving U.S. Senator in Indiana history. He is the Republican leader of the Foreign Relations Committee and a member and former chairman of the Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry Committee. He was first elected to the U.S. Senate in 1976 and won a sixth term in 2006 with 87 percent of the vote, his fourth consecutive victory by a two-thirds majority.  Senator Lugar has promoted policies that spur economic growth, cut taxes, lead to job creation, eliminate wasteful government spending and reduce bureaucratic red tape for American businesses.
