Ivy Tech Community College-Northeast will be the site of the 28th Annual Old Fort Mustangers’ Club Mustang and Ford Show on Saturday, July 17, 2010. Registration for show entrants will be from 8 to 11 a.m. The awards ceremony will begin at 3 p.m. Admission to view the show is $2, with children under 10 being admitted free. Proceeds support Ivy Tech Scholarships.

There will be Ford Mustangs from the year 1964½ to the present. The show is open to any Ford powered vehicle, so a wide variety of vehicles spanning many model years are usually on display. Judging will take place in 34 categories.

The annual show has taken place at Ivy Tech since 1989. The location benefits everyone involved. The paved parking lot is appreciated by car owners, and everyone appreciates the opportunity to retreat to an air-conditioned facility for refreshments and breaks from the sun.

Ivy Tech Community College has always been a significant beneficiary of the Mustang and Ford Show. Since the beginning, the club has used proceeds from the event to fund scholarships to students in the Ivy Tech Automotive Technology program. In addition, students from Ivy Tech’s Culinary Arts program sell refreshments. Proceeds from the refreshment sales help fund an annual culinary arts study program in Europe.
