Sandi Kemmish has been appointed to the Regional Board of Trustees for Ivy Tech Community College–Northeast. Kemmish will serve a three-year term as an At-Large member. Her nomination was approved by the Ivy Tech Community College State Borad of Trustees on June 10, 2010.

Kemmish is the director of Lincoln Financial Foundation and manages the corporate philanthropy in eight major locations, its matching gift program, and national disaster relief. She is a Lincoln Financial Foundation board member. In addition to her responsibilities with Lincoln Foundation, she oversees the United Way corporate workplace campaign and enterprise-wide flu shot program for Lincoln Financial. She serves on the company’s Diversity Council as well.

Prior to joining Lincoln Financial in 2002, Kemmish taught English and French in Tennessee, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. She has a master’s degree from Virginia Tech and served as a Doctoral Fellow at East Tennessee State University before moving to Fort Wayne in 1991.

Kemmish has been a board leader and community volunteer in the many cities where she has lived. During the past 19 years in Fort Wayne, she has served on several non–profit boards in leadership positions, including the Fort Wayne Museum of Art, Junior League of Fort Wayne, YWCA, Arts United, and Super Shot. From 1997–2008, she served on the board of directors of the Association of Junior Leagues International and was president from 2006 to 2008. Currently, she is a board member for the Indiana State Museum Foundation and the Friends of the Lincoln Collection. Kemmish also serves on the advisory boards for Canterbury School and Science Central. Her son, Chad; daughter-in-law, Samantha; and two granddaughters, Ainsley and Haley-Kate; live in Memphis.
